The middle layer is milled out of one piece of aluminum. Due to the material and its form it vibrates longer and steadyer. The neck and the bridge are directly mounted on the aluminum frame so the connection of those is very rigid.
The front and the back of Janes body is made out of moulded wood veneer. Seven layers being glued and pressed in its final shape. The five middle layers consist of the tone wood ash. The surface layers, the ones you see are made out of its respective wood veneer walnut, ash or cherry.
Married to the maple neck is a woven bamboo fretboard, which in addition to being an environmentally sustainable wood, has a wealth of sustain and tone. The bamboo is also extremely resilient to changes in humidity, which results in less maintenance. Mary also rocks 24 medium jumbo STAINLESS STEEL frets with a 10” fretboard radius.
